The old and clunky Wordpress site I had been using (or to be fair, not really using) is no more. The tipping point came when I could see the site was constantly being attacked by scripts looking for admin access in to it.

That’s the pain of it all really - running a globally popular blogging platform opens you up to more attacks by black hats looking for badly secured sites to exploit. I’d seen this on several Wordpress sites I have supported over the years and decided I’d had enough of the almost daily attacks and emails alerting me to them. The updated site is a work in progress.

I’ve opted to run with Hugo - a fast and modern static site generator written in Go.
