Getting started on a new iteration
Today I opted to blow up a clunky Wordpress site I had been using (or to be fair, not really using) for some years now.
The tipping point came when I could see the site was constantly being attacked by scripts looking for admin access in to it.
That’s the pain of it all really - running a globally popular blogging platform opens you up to more attacks by black hats looking for badly secured sites to exploit.
I’d seen this on a few Wordpress sites I’d supported over the years and just decided I’d had enough of the almost daily attacks and emails alerting me to them.
I’ve only just started to work on this site but I plan to work on it more over the weeks and months ahead.
